This book is the best in the series. I really thought this book would be a fluffy romance being Paris's book, but I was very pleasantly shocked. I would give this book a 10 if I could. Gena Showalter really showed out in this book. Her world being was fantastic, the storyline was moved along perfectly, new characters were introduced but not overwhelmingly, and the character development of some of the characters still waiting for books were spot on.

Cronus and Rhea are up to no good as usual and finally get what's coming to them in an epic battle. The story revolves around Paris and Sienna but Kane and Galen are being set up nicely for their books also. The Lords make a move, friends and enemies are realigned. The Angels are brought into play and new characters set up for Gena Showalter's new spinoff series for the Bad Boy Angel's. I can't wait for it.

Even if you haven't read the previous books in the series you will be able to follow along just fine. I believe once you read this one though you will not be able to not follow all of the Lord's stories already told.Bamafeverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09012591452391282397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024201168265744519.post-12046914813801400672011-02-20T02:38:00.000-06:002011-02-20T02:38:16.729-06:00Paperback Dolls: Month of Love Giveaway: Archangel's Kiss by Nalini...Paperback Dolls: Month of Love Giveaway: Archangel's Kiss by Nalini...: "Today, Nalini Singh is offering up ONE signed copy of the second in her Guild Hunters Series, ARCHANGEL'S KISS, to ONE lucky International r..."Bamafeverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09012591452391282397noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024201168265744519.post-970211557707345892011-01-22T07:51:00.001-06:002011-01-22T23:22:33.975-06:00Shadowfever Release Q/A NOLA 2011

A: All of the books came together, just like she wrote them, from her dream. (The Fever series) She hated how Faefever ended and cried because she didn’t want to leave the cliffhanger of Mac being raped. She knew it was hard on us and it was on her to. She had to stick to the story though. She also hated how Shadowfever started but that’s how it had to be told. She talked some on the cd Shadowsong, Neil. Her favorite song was Alone. No one is unfazed by life and it’s just part of life for bad things to happen. The transition between when life is “Pretty and Pink” to “Hard and Dark”. It’s just the facts of life. We all have to deal with grief and she thinks Barron’s sums it up the best.

Q: Is Alina and Mac really sisters?

A: Yes they are blood sisters. This is actually answered in the books. No one knew Isla was pregnant with Mac. She stated that we would be getting a story with Isla, Pieter, and the Triton Corp. . She added Isla and Pieter into Shadowfever for us. She also said she couldn’t add Telie’s story because it didn’t flow with the current way the book was going but in the next book we would get to see them have a conversation.

Phil ask about a scene between Barron’s and V’Lane , sorry I missed it. Whatever it was her response was NO. She went on to say Barron’s would never be one to wallow in sorrow and grief.

Q: What’s going on with the movie deal?

A: Unfortunately the time has ran out, but she doesn’t really care. She wants to make sure whoever does it stays true to her characters and story. She thinks a tv series would be better because there is to much story for a movie. She will not let just anyone have the rights because she wants to make sure she can trust them not to change everything. She would rather hold onto it until she can be a big part of it or she fully trust the person that will be in charge. The Fae and many more answers are coming also. She assured us that she answered all questions that were needed to complete the Fever series and any that weren’t would be in future books. <![endif]--> The session was ended with a standing ovation to Mrs. Moning as she once again thanked all of her fans with teary eyes. I must say this has been a very exciting ride following this series. I have the same mixed emotions as Mrs. Moning expressed for the series ending. But it’s only for now. We have many more years to look forward to of sneak peeks at Mac and Barrons. I’m glad for the closure but so looking forward to the next ride she takes us on. Phil and Sue ended on a raffle with many great prizes. Jewelry, Kresley Cole books, and many other little goodies. Phil was hilarious and read chapter 8 to us which caused a small earthquake. What an experience NOLA was. So many nice people and the tales we left with. LOL What happens in NOLA stays in NOLA!

MacKayla Lane was just a child when she and her sister, Alina were given up for adoption and banished from Ireland forever.
Twenty years later, Alina is dead and Mac has returned to the country that expelled them to hunt her sister's murderer. But after discovering that she descends from a bloodline both gifted and cursed, Mac is plunged into a secret history: an ancient conflict between humans and immortals that have lived concealed among us for thousands of years.
What follows is a shocking chain of events with devastating consequences, and now Mac struggles to cope with grief, while continuing her mission to acquire and control the Sinsar Dubh--a book of dark, forbidden magic scribed by the mythical Unseelie King that contains the power to create and destroy worlds.
In an epic battle between humans and Fae, the hunter becomes the hunted when the Sinsar Dubh turns on Mac, and begins mowing a deadly path through those she loves.
Who can she turn to? Who can she trust? Who is the woman that haunts her dreams? More importantly, who is Mac and what is the destiny she glimpses in the black and crimson designs of an ancient tarot card?
From the luxury of the Lord Master's penthouse, to the sordid depths of an Unseelie nightclub, from the erotic bed of her lover, to the terrifying bed of the Unseelie King, Mac's journey will force her to face the truth of her exile, and make a choice that will either save the world...or destroy it.

I have taken a brief break between reading ShadowFever and writing this review for several reasons. The main one being how much I loved book and the series as a whole. There was no way I would have been able to review without giving spoilers and I want everyone to have a chance to read and be as amazed as I was.

The journey of Mac and Barrons finally reaches a point of no return, we get questions answered, more questions, twists that will probably cause some people to sneak off in a corner and cry * poor things* LOL, and promise of future books in the Fever World. Excited, I can't wait! There are some characters that are eliminated and I say good riddance to them. As well as some dear loved ones revisited.

***** Spoilerish*****

Some of our fabtastic Highlanders do make an appearance.

**********************************************

Can anyone say K'Vrucked? I love this new character and was ecstatic to hear from KMM that we would be hearing more about him. What's under the garage will totally blow your mind and explain why a certain character has some issues. Some characters will be shown in gray zones that any one of us could be thrown into and some will have their deceptive natures come out so be prepared to be completely taken aback by what you are about to discover in this amazing world that's been created for us.

I know some people are very disgruntled that every question wasn't answered, but I was satisfied. I'm also still curious enough to hang on until KMM finishes this fantastic world. Personally I think most books leave some things for the readers to actually use some of their own imagination without leaving them left out in the dark without resolution. Where would you go with a story if you didn't leave something to talk about in between books or keep the readers interest. Now I don't mean end one series and do a spin off that leaves the most important part of the resolutions out to hold us hostage and or try to force us to read future series. Nor just so you can extend your contract for the amount of books in a particular series. I have had the misfortune of seeing that done to a series I truly loved only to be completely turned off of the whole thing. In my opinion KMM did not do this with ShadowFever. Maybe being at the Q/A session with KMM helped me feel resolved. The session I was in is posted here on my blog also.

http://bamalovesbooks.blogspot.com/2011/01/shadowfever-release-qa-nola-2011.html

I respect others opinions, even though I honestly can not say I'm in anyway let down by ShadowFever. I would have like to see more of a certain couple together of course and if I had to say what I would have liked to see different, it would have to be that. If you are in agreement with me check out ShadowSong. KMM's husband Neil Dover produced the cd to accompany ShadowFever. The whole booklet for the cd is amazing and the deleted scene will steam up your glasses. * Giggles* Valentine, one of the tracks on the cd, was written by KMM and LOL , it's true to her. Just One Time is probably one of my favorite songs on there and Neil's note on why it was written... well just check it out. * winks*

MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman.

Or so she thinks... until something extraordinary happens.

When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death–a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone–Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed–a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae...

As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister’s death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho, a man with no past and only mockery for a future. As she begins to close in on the truth, the ruthless V'lane–an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women–closes in on her. And as the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac’s true mission becomes clear: find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book–because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control of the very fabric of both worlds in their hands...

Bama's rating : 4 Tides

This series is like a drug, you just can't get enough. I was recommended this series by a friend of mine and hold her responsible for my insanity now. For fans of the Highlander Series, you will see just what the evil Darroc is up to and never want to turn your lights off again.

The What is Barrons? Yes that is the million dollar question among lovers of the Fever series.

There is only one thing I can say negative about this book and the three that succeed it, is it they end in cliff hangers. LOL not that is such a bad thing normally, but these drive you crazy until the next one.

MacKayla Lane isn't your normal heroine. She has lead a shelter life and is full of pink and rainbows. Her life takes a drastic turn and not for the better. I actually feel sorry for her. She's lost her sister and now she see's things that make the Boogie Man shudder.
The one thing that does go right for her is meeting Jericho Z Barrons. He is a bookstore owner and becomes Mac's protector. Barrons had me at " Barrons Books and Bauble."

Barrons really wants the Sinsar Dubh, or the Dark Book. He needs his OOP Detector (Object of Power), and that would be MacKayla . She needs him to help her stay alive and find her sisters killer.
Mackayla Lane's ordinary life underwent a complete makeover when she landed on Ireland's shores and was plunged into a dark, deadly realm unlike any she ever imagined. In her fight to stay alive, Mac must find the Sinsar Dubh—a million-year old book of the blackest magic imaginable that holds the key to power over both the worlds of Fae and Man. Pursued by Fae assassins, surrounded by mysterious figures she knows she cannot trust, Mac finds herself torn between two deadly and irresistible men: V'lane, the insatiable Fae, who can turn sensual arousal into an obsession for any woman; and the ever-inscrutable Jericho Barrons, a man as alluring as he is mysterious.
For centuries, the shadowy realm of the Fae has coexisted with that of humans. Now the walls between the two are coming down, and Mac is the only thing that stands between them...
Karen Marie Moning is brilliant, in my opinion. I can never put her books down when I start them. We see the story progressing, but still so many unanswered questions.

What is Barrons? The million dollar question!

Mac's life is torn. There really is no other way to describe it. Make time to find her sisters killer, Death By Sex Fae ,and Jericho. What's a southern belle to do?

When MacKayla Lane receives a torn page from her dead sister's journal, she is stunned by Alina's desperate words. And now MacKayla knows that her sister's killer is close. But evil is closer. And suddenly the sidhe-seer is on the hunt: For answers. For revenge. And for an ancient book of dark magic so evil, it corrupts anyone who touches it.
Mac's quest for the Sinsar Dubh takes her into the mean, shape-shifting streets of Dublin, with a suspicious cop on her tail. Forced into a dangerous triangle of alliance with V'lane, an insatiable Fae prince of lethally erotic tastes, and Jericho Barrons, a man of primal desires and untold secrets, Mac is soon locked in a battle for her body, mind, and soul.

As All Hallows Eve approaches and the city descends into chaos, as a shocking truth about the Dark Book is uncovered, not even Mac can prevent a deadly race of immortals from shattering the walls between worlds with devastating consequences.

Hum where to begin. There is so much that happens in Faefever. This book is not for the faint hearted, but you don't want to miss out on it. Karen Marie Moning has one of the best imaginations, besides Ilona Andrews, that I have had the pleasure of reading. Faefever takes us to places way past our scariest dreams. Ugh once again though the horror at the end and the cliff hanger might just drive you crazy. Be strong our journey with Mac is almost over and I have faith that Mrs. Moning will lead us into the light. If you are looking for a mushy paranormal romance then this isn't the series or book for you. If you want to be engrossed in a world of mystery, destruction, twist and turns, and hope keep reading.

In the beginning Mac makes a startling discovery. The Dark Book isn't in possession of someone but is possessing. In the end the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have arrived and the world as Mac once lived will forever be shattered.

Poor Mac, I cry for her lost innocence. For anyone of my followers who have suffered a fate like Mac, BE strong and know there is always hope. It's not your fault and you are stronger that anything that comes against you. YOU survived and know others out there care about you!

Never give up hope. Mrs. Moning added a note to reassure us this journey isn't about darkness it's about the light.

MacKayla Lane lies naked on the cold stone floor of a church, at the mercy of the erotic Fae master she once swore to kill. Far from home, unable to control her sexual hungers, MacKayla is now fully under the Lord Master's spell. In the New York Times bestselling author Karen Marie Moning's stunning new novel, the walls between human and Fae worlds have come crashing down. And as Mac fights for survival on Dublin's battle-scarred streets, she will embark on the darkest-and most erotically charged-adventure of her life.
He has stolen her past, but MacKayla will never allow her sister's murderer to take her future. Yet even the uniquely gifted sidhe-seer is no match for the Lord Master, who has unleashed an insatiable sexual craving that consumes Mac's every thought-and thrusts her into the seductive realm of two very dangerous men, both of whom she desires but dares not trust.
As the enigmatic Jericho Barrons and the sensual Fae prince V'lane vie for her body and soul, as she rallies the sidhe-seers to fight an impossible battle, and the power of the Dark Book weaves its annihilating path through the city, Mac's greatest enemy delivers a final challenge...
It's an invitation Mac cannot refuse, one that sends her racing home to Georgia, where an even darker threat awaits. With her parents missing and the lives of her loved ones under siege, Mac is about to come face-to-face with a soul-shattering truth-about herself, and about the world she thought she knew.
My ratings: 5 Tides

Dreamfever is fantastic. Sighs* Barrons!!!

My heart is pounding just writing this review. Karen Marie Moning has outshone herself with this one. When I finished Faefever I was devastated for Mac. By the end of Dreamfever you will recover with Mac only to be torn apart again. Yes there is a cliff hanger. Yes it looks like all hope is gone. But we are strong, as Mac is, and hopefully we know by now, " Never give up!"

I love the fact that Mrs. Moning uses very real dilemmas of real life to her books and brings awareness through them.

We learned about cervical cancer in the Highlander series and the importance of having yourself tested for early detection. Now we are faced with the heinous crime of rape and what the victim goes through. Many see this book as very dark and it is, but I also praise Mrs. Moning for showing her readers that you can get past it. I absolutely love the fact that a book of fiction can bring to the attention of the importance on some very serious topics. Okay back to Mac and her dark journey.

Eweee eating UnSeelie is not something that sounds appetizing at all. Mac has learned it will make her stronger but also void her Sidhe Seer abilities. The Dark Ancient Ones have Mac, the Sidhe Seer's are hunting her, and neither Barrons nor V'lane are anywhere to be found.

Thank goodness for Dani. She is a refreshing character who has stolen my heart. She is one of Mac's biggest fans and now has to hunt her. Mac is at a place noone has came back from, but they didn't have Barrons either.

Hurry there is still time to catch up on this amazing series before it all comes to an end. Stay tuned because on January 17th all of our questions will be answered in Shadowfever. Yes I said the 17th not the 18th because Woo Hoo I'm going to NOLA and meet one of my favorite authors and will have my Precious then.

Stay tuned. I will have updates and pictures. I'm so excited!

POWERFUL. SENSUAL. SEDUCTIVE.

Powerful. Sensual. Seductive. He is all that is shamelessly erotic in a man. In her sexiest Highlander novel yet, New York Times bestselling author Karen Moning stirs up a sizzling brew of ancient mystery and modern passion as she brings together a devilishly handsome Celtic warrior trapped in time... and the woman who’s about to pay the ultimate price for freeing him. Age-old secrets haunt them. Deadly danger and irresistible desire shadow their every move. It’s a relationship for the ages. And all that separates them is a mere thirteen hundred years...

Jessi St. James has got to get a life. Too many hours studying ancient artifacts has given the hardworking archaeology student a bad case of sex on the brain.
So she figures she must be dreaming when she spies a gorgeous half-naked man staring out at her from inside the silvery glass of an ancient mirror. But when a split-second decision saves her from a terrifying attempt on her life, Jessi suddenly finds herself confronting six and a half feet of smoldering, insatiable alpha male.
Heir to the arcane magic of his Druid ancestors, eleven centuries ago Cian MacKeltar was trapped inside the Dark Glass, one of four coveted Unseelie Hallows, objects of unspeakable power. When the Dark Glass is stolen, an ancient enemy will stop at nothing to reclaim it, destroying everything in his path–including the one woman who may just hold the key to breaking the ninth-century Highlander’s dark spell. For Jessi, the muscle-bound sex god in the mirror is not only tantalizingly real, he’s offering his protection–from exactly what, Jessi doesn’t know. And all he wants in exchange is the exquisite pleasure of sharing her bed.
Yet even as Cian’s insatiable hunger begins to work its dark magic on Jessi, his ancient enemy is about to obtain the final and most dangerous of the Unseelie Hallows–and the ninth-century Highlander must stop him from getting it. Nothing less than the very fabric of the universe and two passionately entwined lives are at stake–as Cian and Jessi fight to claim the kind of love that comes along but once in an ice age...

I give Spell of the Highlander 4 1/2 Tides.

Well first I would like to know where I can find a mirror with a Highlander in it?

This book didn't disappoint in the least. I couldn't put it down when I started.
The way Cian's story is written, you are sure to feel his pain. To be trapped for over a 1000 years thinking everything you knew and loved was wiped away by a nasty villain.

I think one of my favorite parts in the book is at the beginning. When Jessi licked Cian, thinking it must be a dream, I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Fans of the Fever series be sure to read Spell of the Highlander.
I will be back tomorrow with reviews on the ever popular Fever series. So stay tuned.
That is, until a curse strips him of his immortality and makes him invisible, a cruel fate for so irresistible a man. With his very life at stake, Adam's only hope for survival is in the hands of the one woman who can actually see him.

Enter law student Gabrielle O'Callaghan, who is cursed with the ability to see both worlds: Mortal and Faery. Instead he will tease his way into Gabby's bed and make her want him just as he wants her.

Now, no matter how hard Gabby tries to avoid him, Adam is everywhere, invisible to all but her—perched atop her office cubicle in too-tight jeans, whispering softly from behind the stacks of the law library, stealing her breath away with his knowing smile...all the while tempting her with the promise of unimaginable pleasure in his arms. But soon danger will intrude on this sensual dance. For as Adam's quest to regain his immortality plunges them into a world of timeless magic and the deadly politics of the Faery queen's court, the price of surrender could be their very lives. Unless they can thwart the conspiracy that threatens both mortal and Faery realms...and give them a shot at a destiny few mortals ever know: glorious, wondrous, endless love...

Finally I have came to the Immortal. I adore Adam Black. I love this book. Karen Marie Moning does a wonderful job of progressing and building his character through the series. In previous books you might not like him in one part of the story then later doubt why you didn't. He is in a weakened state after healing Dageus in The Dark Highlander and Aoibheal, Queen of the Tutatha De Danaan punishes Adam by making him human. Oh how she will later come to regret that decision.

Now we get to see what makes Adam tick. *giggles*

" Damn it's good to be me." Adam Black on being Adam Black.

Gabrielle O'Callaghan is a sidhe seer who has managed to stay under the radar of the Fae. Most are taken at a young age to protect the Ancient race. Of course this is exactly who would stumble upon Adam. She has been taught to hate the Tuatha De Danaan. Adam has his on book which doesn't help his case.

As much as I want to spoil everyone, I won't. I'll tell you this though, you will find out why and how the vile Darroc comes to be human, get to visit some of our favorite Highlanders, and see how the Fae are masterful manipulators. I must end this review here or I won't be able to help but give spoilers and probably go on for pages. YOU DO NOT want to miss reading this book. Put down what you are reading and start The Immortal Highlander. If you don't read any other in this series, this one is a must read.

Stay to the light,
BamaBamafeverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09012591452391282397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024201168265744519.post-57467750987092592112011-01-02T20:08:00.009-06:002011-01-03T00:06:29.213-06:00
s

The Dark Highlander

Journey to a world of ancient magic, breathtaking sensuality, thrilling time-travel... Journey to the world of The Dark Highlander. Crisscrossing the continents and the centuries, here is a novel as gripping as it is sensual—an electrifying adventure that will leave you breathless...

I am Dageus MacKeltar, a man with one good conscience and thirteen bad ones, driven to sate my darkest desires... From his penthouse lair high above Manhattan, Dageus looks out over a glittering city that calls to the darkness within him.

A sixteenth century Scot trapped between worlds, he is fighting a losing battle with the thirteen Druids who possess his soul, dooming him to an eternity of sexual pursuit. Plunged into a world of timeless magic and dark seduction, she will soon face the challenge of a lifetime: fighting thirteen evil spirits for the heart of one irresistible man...

I loved this book even if it was a little darker like the name suggest. Poor Dageus the fun loving Highlander has had to face many tough choices and stood strong through it. He is one of my favorite Highlanders. Dageus is stronger than anyone could ever have imagined and he is willing to give his life for his brother and wife.

The wee Chloe is such a good match for him. I couldn't imagine Karen Marie Moning giving him a better mate. Chloe's curiosity and love of artifacts, which she refers at one point to as Dageus, stole my heart right along with Dageus.

Once again the we get the romantic, time traveling, and action packed storyline we are becoming accustomed to with our beloved Highlanders and Karen Marie Moning. Each story we see the connections of family and friends from past and future to get a better understanding of the characters. I could read a new installment every month and never get tired of them.Bamafeverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09012591452391282397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024201168265744519.post-74500889255687836052011-01-02T02:50:00.011-06:002011-01-02T22:19:57.979-06:00Kiss of The Highlander Review

A laird trapped between centuries...
<leo_highlight id="leoHighlights_Underline_0" leohighlights_keywords="enchanted" leohighlights_underline="true" leohighlights_url_bottom="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_2/tbh_highlightsBottom.jsp?keywords%3Denchanted%26domain%3Dwww.blogger.com" leohighlights_url_top="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_2/tbh_highlightsTop.jsp?keywords%3Denchanted%26domain%3Dwww.blogger.com" onclick="leoHighlightsHandleClick('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" onmouseout="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOut('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" onmouseover="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOver('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" style="-moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-size: auto auto; background-attachment: scroll; background-color: transparent; background-image: none; background-position: 0% 50%; background-repeat: repeat; border-bottom: 2px solid rgb(255, 255, 150); cursor: pointer; display: inline;">Enchanted</leo_highlight> by a powerful spell, Highland laird Drustan MacKeltar slumbered for nearly five centuries hidden deep in a cave, until an unlikely savior awakened him.
Once again I was not disappointed in Jill Myles. Her Succubi series are erotic, hilarious, action packed, and full of passion. The heroine Jackie was turned Succubus without consent but tries to hold on to her moral fiber as much as any Succubus can. Noah and Zane are her lovers and they hate each other which makes for a great twist in the stories. Jackie seems to have it all. The itch comes upon her every two days and she must scratch it or risk dying. By day Noah tends to her needs and and come evening the very sexy Vampire Prince Zane takes over. The time has come for a decision to be made though. Will it be Noah or will it be Zane? First she must decide after finding out a secret both of her lovers have kept from her and it will change everything. When both Jackie and Noah are arrested we learn some Angels are not the Guardian Angels we think they are.

Remy is once again possessed by the evil demon and Jackie must save not only her but the world. To do this she must figure out a way to save both lovers, make a decision on which one of them she will keep and if she can even trust them, try and recover the ancient Halo and keep the Serim from killing her. I must say I was very pleased with her decision in the end.
Her life isn't what she planned but she has a job that allows her to learn and study artifacts at the museum which feeds her curious nature. One night as she is cleaning she falls asleep in her bosses office only to be awoken when he comes in and is discussing the great find he has made. Once the coast is clear she can't help but open the beautiful box and when she touches the object inside she falls right into 14th century Scotland and one very mad Highlander who has taken a vow to kill her.

Circenn Brodie Laird and Thane of Brodie is quite surprised when a female suddenly appears in his chambers. She is strangely dressed and holding his flask. He has been entrusted to protect it and other Fae Hallows, but the flask was lost to him while it was traveling with the Templars. Adam Black the Blackest Elf has made him swear to kill whomever has possession of the flask but Circeen has never killed an innocent much less a woman. Caught in a battle with himself and fulfilling a sworn oath, Circeen is at a loss for what to do. He also has a secret that could change everything between him and Lisa. He is immortal and has to find a way to tell her.

Duncan and Galen Douglas, Circenn's trusted advisors, take bets on Circenn sticking to his sworn vows or breaking them, something he has never done.

Lisa and Circenn fall in love but Lisa can't help but think of her dying mother, who is still in the present day. Lisa is just the woman to bring The Brodie to his knees and he is just the man to fulfill Lisa's hopes and dreams. She doesn't quit looking for a way home and when one is given to her, she can't decide what to do but the Queen of the Fae takes the decision from her.

While off to war Circenn is struck a devastating blow, his bond with Lisa is severed. Fighting like a Beserker he battles the English like no he has in no other battle. When he comes home he finds Adam his assumed enemy and threatens to kill him with one of the Hallows he swore to protect and never use against the Tuatha De Danaan.

Adam convinces Circenn to come to terms with his heritage and much to the dismay of Circenn he must embrace his father and his ways. Although Adam's powers have been severed by the Queen, for the time being he is able to show Circenn the way's of sifting time and finding his love.

Although I like the first two books in this series, I must admit this one really hooked. Karen Marie Moning has mixed romance, time travel, and Fae with just enough of each. Adam Black is the only one with a grown son of mixed heritage. There are few humans who can see both worlds and they are kidnapped as babies.

Most people who don't care much for romance reads seem to really enjoy this installment of the series so I can recommend these books to such a broad range of readers. Well lets go read about a Druid Highlander.

Stay To The Lights,
Bama

To Tame A Highland Warrior

A Celtic Legend
Legend tells that the power of the Berserker - preternatural strenght, prowess, virility, and cunning - can be bought for the going rate of a man's soul.

Not everything you see is the truth. Sometimes what you think you are seeing is something totally different.
Wishing on stars do come true for Highlanders and their women. Grimm wished Adrienne for Hawk and now she has made a wish of her own.

Grimm formerly known as Gavrael Roderick Icarus McIllioch has received a letter from his former foster family and it's a summons he can not refuse. Grimm's time for hiding from his fate has come to an end. He must journey to the Lowlands to protect Jillian, although he has no idea from what.
Once at Caithness Grimm, Quinn de Moncrieffe, and Ramsay Logan realize they have been brought to have Jullian decide who she will wed. Grimm afraid to reveal his true self pushes Quinn and Jillian together. Jillian has other ideas.

Jillian's childhood love has returned but wants nothing to do with her. She plans on changing that. She has a decision to make and it's complicated by Grimm's refusal to acknowledge he wants her just as much.

Someone wants Grimm dead. The MaKane's wish to annihilate all Beserkers and will stop at nothing to see this happen. Will the legends come true and the Day of the Beserker reign again or will the MaKane's succeed and destroy Grimm before he can claim his one true mate? For once a Beserker finds true love it's for life and there will be no other for him.

Will this wish on a star come true for this Highlander or will the truth of his true nature tear the woman he loves out of his arms?Bamafeverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09012591452391282397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024201168265744519.post-50509671871187309312010-12-18T16:56:00.001-06:002011-01-03T00:28:40.448-06:00The Holiday SeasonThis isn't a post on books. I just wanted to write about how I was feeling today. I woke up and was feeling a little down. You see my dad passed away 18 years ago on Christmas and I really miss him.

As the day has went on I am feeling better though. It's been one of those where you really don't do anything but sit and spend time with the family. We have watched a few movies and just been lazy. Ah refreshing!

The mail finally ran and I got more beautiful cards in the mail. To my great surprise I got my package from Janet Casdsawan. www.cadsawan.com A beautiful Chotki bracelet and Zvevda necklace from her Vampire Academy collection. Now that is the way to make anyone's day better.

Well that's really all I wanted to say. I am going to spend some more family time and watch Date Night. Hilarious movie and sure to bring spirits up.

Hugs and Blessings
BamaBamafeverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09012591452391282397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024201168265744519.post-12116134297445917092010-12-16T20:33:00.001-06:002011-01-03T00:19:20.863-06:00Nalini SinghAs most of you know I love Nalini Singh. Queen Aoibheal incites the wrath of Adam Black, court jester, and the Fairy King Finnbherra against Hawk.

Sidheach James Lyon Douglas better known as Hawk is a renowned ladies man.One night him and his captain of guards are looking at the stars and Grimm wishes upon a fallen star. His wish is that a lass will be able to resist The Hawk and say no to him. Adam hears this and the King and he sets outs to find the perfect woman to bring this about and extract revenge on an unknowing Hawk.

Adrienne De Simone is the perfect woman to turn the Hawk down and Adam whisks her back in time to the 16th century. Mad Janet to be more exact.

Once at Dalkeith Upon The Sea Adrienne sees the Smithy and thinks he is most beautiful until she turns and sees her new husband she has never met. Her hatred of beautiful men causes her to instantly dislike Hawk and so begins the journey to love and intrigue. Nothing will ever be the same for either one of the newlyweds. Someone is trying to kill Adrienne, Adam is set upon Hawks destruction, and destiny plays cruel tricks upon the lovers.
